in the teeth. The quality, motifs and

Riding whip, used by knights during the traditional Buzkashi competition, the chapandaz representatives of the several tribes take part in it.

The competition consists of a contest by the knight of a goat corpse, which has to be positioned in a fixed place inside the big field, scene of the most violent competition. There are no rules and the knights play all against all to win the victory, which confers a rule of prestige on the winner

also with rival clans.

Handle 29 cm

Total length 60 cm

weight 140 gr.

The handle is made of a sturdy round piece of wood wrapped in leather and decorated with small nails or mother-of-pearl inlays. Attached to this handle is a cord of round, pressed leather wrapped with fine strips of rawhide.

The transition between the handle and the elastic front part of the whip is sewn with a piece of leather. The triangular, wing-shaped cover accounts for much of the Buzkashi whip's characteristic appearance.

In Afghanistan, there are numerous different models of this whip, the production of which can certainly be considered a typical local craft. The basic elements of every Buzkashi whip, however, are always the rawhide-wrapped leather cord and the wing-shaped transition piece.

Remember, however, that each of our whipis a unique and vintage handmade and therefore appearance, pattern, size and color are slightly different.
