An exceptional example of an antique Sindhi Banjara Tribe silk embroidered from Pakistan 19th century.
This beautiful antique textile made by Banjara tribe from Pakistan . It features shisha (mirrors) fastened by buttonhole stitches and herringbone stitching in silk thread on a dark Green silk background. Metallic couching accentuates the mirrorwork, with beaded fringes on all four sides of the textile. Condition: Excellent. No rips, no tears, no stains. Circa: mid to late 19th century.
It has fine chain-stitched silk embroidery, metal work and tiny mirrors. a lovely example with nice colours and design. Lined with beaded tassels
